Audit Mutu Internal (AMI) is the activities of applying internal quality assurance protocols conducted by a faculty or a program unit within Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The AMI consists of controlling and monitoring processes that assure the standardised quality of institutional and educational units administrating and facilitating academia to pursue the expected and satisfied gain of educational levels. The processes are conducted based on an international quality assurance procedure, the quality assurance of high educational institution of Indonesia, and the quality assurance of education of UGM. The AMI monitors three fundamental educational performances, namely education performance, research performance, and community empowerment performance. These three educational performances are mandatorily conducted by the university’s staff. The AMI also controls supporting educational units, which are human resource units, finance units, facilities and well-being units, etc.
AMI is biannually performed by the Faculty of Forestry, UGM. The processes of conducting the AMI are performed by the internal auditors of quality assurance coming from similar and different fields within the University. The principal objective of conducting the AMI in the Faculty of Forestry UGM is to ensure the implementation of continuous improvements of educational performances to maintain “quality culture” as a spirit of the quality assurance of education of UGM. The specific objectives of the AMI are to:
- Assess the quality assurance of education of Universitas Gadjah Mada according to the quality assurance of international education.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the quality assurance protocols of education.
- Address opportunities for improving in the quality assurance system and the quality of educational performances in a wide range of educational levels.
- Identify the achievements of implementing the quality assurance of education.
The results of conducting the AMI are delivered to the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry UGM for being discussed and carried out to gain better educational Performa and achievements. The process of the attempts at improving the Performa is facilitated by the Faculty holding a focused management meeting.
