Pertemuan di Gedung Bupati Kabupaten Ngawi tanggal 27 Desember 2018, diikuti oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Kerjasama dan Alumni : Dr. Paripurna , Dekan Fakultas Kehutanan UGM : Dr Budiadi dengan Bupati Ngawi Ir. H. Budi Sulistyono.
Pertemuan dalam rangka untuk menjalin dukungan dari PEMDA Kabupaten Ngawi untuk pengembangan KHDTK Getas yang berada di wilayah kabupaten Ngawi seluas kurang lebih 2300 Ha.
Tim Ahli Fakultas Kehutanan UGM sejak akhir abad 20 yang dipimpin oleh Prof. Mohammad Na’iem mencermati perkembangan kuliner Yogyakarta berupa Gudeg yang mengalami ancaman ketersediaan bahan baku utamanya berupa gori atau nangka muda. Perkembangan wisata di propinsi DIY dan khususnya wisata kuliner yang membutuhkan gudeg yang semakin bertambah, menyebabkan krisis bahan baku semakin terasa dan kebutuhan tersebut harus dipenuhi dari propinsi-propinsi di luar DIY.

Visitasi Akreditasi Internasional ASIIN Program Magister Ilmu Kehutanan Fakultas Kehutanan UGM 17-19 Desember 2018.
Mulai akhir pekan kedua bulan Desember 2018 (14/12/18), Fakultas Kehutanan UGM punya gawe, mulai membongkar Gedung E (Silvikultur) yang telah berdiri gagah sejak tahun 1975. Rencananya, UGM akan membangunkan gedung yang lebih megah berlantai 6 untuk menggantikanya. Bersamaan dengan 10 Fakultas lainnya, Fakultas Kehutanan UGM mendapatkan hibah gedung, lengkap dengan peralatan laboratoriumnya termasuk auditorium yang berkapasitas 200 orang dan sebagai pusat pembelajaran hutan terpadu (integrated
Tim KP3 Burung Fakultas Kehutanan UGM berhasil mendapatkan juara 3 Fotografi Pada Birdrace yang diadakan oleh BKSDA Yogyakarta pada tanggal 1 Desember 2018 di Pantai Trisik, Kulonprogo Yogyakarta.
