
Yogyakarta – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held the 4th Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate and Diploma Programs of the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Tuesday (August 26) at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP), UGM Yogyakarta. The solemn and orderly event was attended by the Rector of UGM, university leaders, faculty deans, lecturers, parents of graduates, and members of the UGM academic community.
In this period, the Faculty of Forestry officially graduated 96 undergraduate (S1) students. This achievement represents the faculty’s contribution to producing outstanding human resources in the field of forestry, who are expected to play active roles in various sectors, including government, private institutions, research centers, and society at large.
The average Grade Point Average (GPA) of the Faculty of Forestry graduates was 3.56, with an average study period of 4 years and 1 month. A total of 64 students graduated with cum laude honors, while five students completed their studies in the fastest time of 3 years and 9 months. They are Ajeng Fira Madani, Astriwisessa Indahsari Bhanuwati, Amalia Permata Yusa Putri, Bobby Hendrawan, and Pramudya Bumishambara—an achievement that reflects their strong commitment and discipline throughout their academic journey.
During the graduation ceremony, the Faculty of Forestry also presented awards to outstanding graduates. Clara Citra Arundati from the Department of Forest Management was named the best graduate of the faculty with a GPA of 3.95 and had the honor of receiving her diploma directly from the Rector of UGM as the faculty’s representative.
The best graduates from each department were: Dhimas Ardi Putro Utomo (Department of Forest Products Technology, GPA 3.93), Anggoro Wibisono (Department of Forest Resource Conservation, GPA 3.87), and Salma Salsabila (Department of Silviculture, GPA 3.86). These outstanding graduates not only demonstrated academic excellence but also actively contributed to research, student organizations, and community service.
After attending the main ceremony at GSP, the graduates of the Faculty of Forestry participated in a farewell gathering organized by the Kapak Rimba student organization. Held at the IFFLC building terrace, the event was filled with a warm and friendly atmosphere, enlivened by group singing and cheerful musical performances.
With the completion of the entire graduation and farewell series, the Faculty of Forestry UGM officially sends off its graduates to embark on the next phase of their lives. It is hoped that the knowledge, experiences, and values gained during their studies will serve as valuable assets for them to contribute meaningfully to society, the nation, and environmental sustainability.
