Yogyakarta, August 17, 2025 – A joyful atmosphere filled the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), on Sunday (8/17), as the kick-off of its 62nd Anniversary celebration was enlivened by a series of Fun Games. This event also served as a symbol of togetherness in commemorating the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
Various exciting and interactive games were enthusiastically participated in by lecturers, academic staff, students, and participants of the 2025 Summer Course. The Fun Games not only brought joy but also became a moment to strengthen unity and collaboration among the academic community of the Faculty of Forestry UGM.
One of the participants, Jihan, expressed her excitement, saying that the fun games were incredibly enjoyable. “Winning the competition was secondary; the true essence was strong teamwork. It was heartwarming to see everyone’s enthusiasm in celebrating Independence Day. We all helped and supported each other, proving that togetherness is far more valuable than victory. I hope this spirit continues in our daily lives because no great achievement can be reached alone. Thank you to everyone who participated and to the committee for their hard work. We are all amazing! MERDEKA!” Jihan said.
With high spirits and enthusiasm, participants enjoyed the series of Fun Games, which were packaged with a sense of togetherness and sportsmanship. Activities included blindfolded marching competitions, tampah ball games, and challenges to stack paper cups. Laughter, fighting spirit, and a strong sense of camaraderie were evident in every game, creating warm and memorable moments.
