Abstract
The optimization of land use under teak (Tectona grandis) stands in post taungya system canbe enhanced by planting understory crops in a kind of three-strata agroforestry systems.Despite the potential, there is limited information on growth, morphophysiological adaptability, production, and phenotypic plasticity of the crops. this study aims to assess growth, morphophysiological adaptation, biomass production, and phenotypic plasticity of Calliandracalothyrsus

Abstract
Angiosperm trees develop tension wood on the upper side of leaning stems to reorient the direction of stems towards their normal positions in response to a gravitational stimulus. The development of gelatinous fibers with thick inner gelatinous layers (G-layers) might elevate tensile stress required for such reorientation in many angiosperm species. This study aims to investigate negative gravitropism and tension wood formation in response to a gravitational
Abstract
Several non-edible plants, including kepuh (Sterculia foetida), are used as feedstock for biodiesel production in Indonesia. This study aimed to evaluate site-specific variations in biodiesel yield, characteristics, and chemical composition from seeds of S. foetida from 25 locations on Java Island and select superior seed sources for renewable energy development based on the quality of the produced biodiesel. The biodiesel yields ranged from 23.6% to 26%. The
Abstract
Bamboo, one of the non-timber forest products, is promising in climate change mitigation strategy due to its ability to remove COfrom the atmosphere through photosynthesis. However, the allometric model to estimate the biomass 2and carbon of bamboo is still limited. The research aimed to develop the allometric model using the diameter as the predictor. The materials for destructive sampling were 30 culms of yellow ampel bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris var. striata).
Abstract
Pinus merkusii shows great potential as a resin-producing wood in Indonesia, with the global demand for pine resin reaching 1 million tons annually. This study investigated the effect of ethephon on the anatomical properties of P. merkusii, particularly the resin duct that affects resin productivity, to increase the efficiency of pine resin tapping. Ethephon was mixed with Vaseline to create concentrations of 0%, 2%, 4%, and 8% and then applied to the seedlings
Abstract
Coffee is commonly cultivated under agroforestry systems, including dry-field and homegarden. These systems were differentiated based on their proximity to the settlements, which might influence the species composition. This study aimed to observe plant composition, diversity, vegetation structure, and microclimate in coffee agroforestry systems and the physiological conditions of coffee. The experimental design was based on purposive sampling. A total of 100
